Positive Behaviour Support Services
At Impactful Solutions, we believe that meaningful change starts with

aspect of our work. We specialise in supporting individuals with disabilities who live
at home, recognising that helping the individual means supporting the family and
carers too.
As both a registered Developmental Educator and Proficient Behaviour Support
Practitioner, we offer a unique and powerful combination of expertise. This allows
us to take a holistic approach to behaviour support, creating strategies that not only
address behaviours of concern but also build independence, emotional regulation,
and stronger relationships within the family.
Based in Ipswich, Somerset, and the Lockyer Valley, we proudly offer local, in-
person support. For families where distance or other circumstances apply, we also
provide 100% telehealth services where suitable and preferred for participants.

To access our behaviour support services, you’ll need NDIS funding under the
Improved Relationships. This funding is specifically designed to help
individuals build positive relationships through specialist behaviour support.

Meet Popcorn, Chip, Nugget and Noodle—our four hens bringing a little extra curiosity to developmental education at Impactful Solutions!
We’re excited to introduce opportunities to include animal-assisted activities within our developmental education services, with allied health assistant support where appropriate.
Our focus is on helping you build practical skills, confidence and independence through meaningful activities connected to your individual goals. For participants who enjoy animals, our hens can provide an engaging setting to practise these skills.
Meaningful activities, individual goals
Depending on your interests and support needs, sessions may include preparing feed, following a care routine, collecting eggs or observing how the hens communicate and interact.
These activities can create opportunities to practise:

asking for help, expressing preferences and communicating boundaries.
gathering equipment, following steps and completing a task.
sharing tasks, taking turns and working alongside others..
recognising feelings, requesting a break and practising familiar regulation strategies.
measuring, sorting, problem-solving and following handwashing routines.
Your developmental educator will work with you to identify meaningful goals, plan suitable activities and review your progress. Where an allied health assistant is involved, they will support your program under the developmental educator’s delegation and supervision.
Your choice, your pace
Getting close to the hens is optional. You might prefer to watch from a distance, take part gradually or choose an activity without animals.
Before you begin, we’ll discuss your preferences, sensory needs, allergies and any other considerations to support safe participation and the wellbeing of our hens.
Can I use my NDIS funding?
Eligible participants may be able to use NDIS funding for developmental education or appropriately delegated therapy assistant supports, where these meet the relevant funding requirements and align with their plan.
Animal-assisted activities are incorporated into an individual, goal-directed therapy program where appropriate. Funding is subject to your circumstances and is not guaranteed.
